TensaSkin is an educational app. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and nothing in it is medical advice. Using it does not create a doctor-patient, dietitian-client or coach-client relationship.
No result is promised to anyone. Individual response varies widely, and there is no timescale at which we guarantee you will see a change.
1. What cellulite is, and what this app can reach
Cellulite is a structural feature of skin. Fibrous connective bands run from the deeper tissue up to the underside of the skin, and fat sits between them. When the bands pull down while the fat pushes up, the surface dimples. It affects the large majority of adult women, including lean and athletic ones, and it is not a disease, a toxin, a circulation failure or a sign that anything is wrong with you.
Nothing you do at home changes those bands. Changing them requires a clinical procedure performed by a qualified practitioner, which is outside anything this app offers or advises on.
What the app works on is the tissue around them: building the muscle underneath and reducing the fat above. Both change the shape and surface of an area, and both are slow. The honest unit of time here is months, not weeks, and the honest answer is that some people see a clear difference and some see very little.
2. About the evidence grades in the app
Each step in the daily ritual carries a label: moderate, limited, or none. Those are our own honest summary of the published research at the time of writing, in plain language, and they are deliberately unflattering to our own product where the evidence deserves it. They are not medical advice, they are not a systematic review, and later research may change any of them.
- Moderate means controlled trials report an effect, usually small and usually temporary.
- Limited means a small number of small trials report a modest effect, and it has not been robustly replicated.
- None means no controlled evidence supports it for cellulite. We still include such a step where it is harmless and helps the routine hold together, and the app says so on the step itself rather than hiding it.
Where a figure appears in the app, such as a change in thigh circumference, it is the average reported in the trials described, not a prediction for you.
3. Some things are not cellulite. See a doctor.
Several medical conditions affect the same areas and can look similar to someone who is not trained to tell them apart. TensaSkin cannot distinguish between them, and it does not try. Please see a doctor rather than an app if you have any of the following:
- Painful or tender fat, disproportionate swelling in the legs or arms, easy bruising, or symmetry that stops abruptly at the ankles or wrists. These can be signs of lipoedema, which is a medical condition and is not cellulite.
- Persistent swelling that pits when pressed, in one limb or both. This can be a sign of lymphoedema or a circulatory problem.
- Prominent, painful or hardened veins, skin discolouration around the ankles, or ulcers. These can be signs of venous disease.
- Redness, heat, sudden swelling, fever, or an area that hurts to touch. These can be signs of infection or a blood clot and need urgent medical attention.
- Any lump, skin change, or dimpling that appeared quickly or is confined to one spot.
Do not massage, brush or apply anything to skin that is broken, irritated, infected, sunburnt, recently treated, or over a suspected clot.
4. Exercise
The routines in TensaSkin are general strength and mobility movements for healthy adults. Physical activity carries a risk of injury.
- Speak to a doctor before starting if you are pregnant or postpartum, have a heart, joint, back or pelvic-floor condition, are recovering from surgery or injury, or have been inactive for a long time.
- The app cannot see your form. If a movement is new to you, learn it from a qualified coach before loading it.
- Stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, chest discomfort or shortness of breath, and seek medical attention if you need it.
You take part voluntarily and at your own risk.
5. Nutrition, weight, and a line we will not cross
TensaSkin calculates calorie and protein targets from the figures you enter. These are general adult estimates produced by a formula. They are not a prescribed diet, they take no account of your medical history, medication, allergies or pregnancy, and they are not appropriate for everyone.
If food or your body feels like it is taking over
A tracking app is not the right tool for everyone, and for some people logging food and photographing their body makes things worse rather than better. If you have or have had an eating disorder, or if using TensaSkin is making you restrict, weigh yourself compulsively, or feel worse about your body, please stop using it and talk to your doctor or a local eating disorder support service.

The app will not help you pursue a very low calorie intake, and the AI coach is instructed to refuse and to point you toward real support instead.
Meal scanning returns estimates. Both the portion size and the nutrient values are judged from a photograph, so the figures should be treated as a rough guide, not a measurement. Do not rely on them if you need accurate intake data for a medical reason, such as diabetes management.
6. Progress photos
Comparison photographs are affected by lighting, camera angle, distance, posture, time of day, hydration and where you are in your menstrual cycle. Two photos that look different may show a real change, or may show none. This is why TensaSkin waits fourteen days between check-ins rather than seven, and it is still not a measurement.
Your photos stay on your device. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what that means.
7. The AI coach
The coach is a language model. It can be confidently wrong, it can misread your figures, and it has no clinical training. It does not diagnose, does not give dosages, and does not recommend supplements or treatments. Treat what it says as a starting point for a conversation with a qualified professional, never as a substitute for one.
8. In an emergency
If you think you are having a medical emergency, call your local emergency number or go to your nearest emergency department. Do not use this app, and do not wait for a reply from us.
9. Your agreement
By using TensaSkin you confirm that you have read and understood this disclaimer, that you are at least 18 years old, and that you accept responsibility for how you use the information in the app. This page forms part of our Terms of Use.
